Force Basketball Looks Forward to Start of 2018-2019 Season
Coming off a strong 2017-2018 season, FORCE Basketball is gearing up for another successful year. FORCE Middle School and High School Basketball will begin in early September. On September 4 and 6 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., the FORCE high school program will hold evaluation practices for boys 14 and up. Practices will begin for middle school and high school on Monday, September 10.
JV and Varsity will practice Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30-10:30 and Thursdays 6:30-8:30. Middle school boys will practice Mondays and Thursdays 5:00-6:30. All practices will be at Baptist Tabernacle, 8501 E. Kingston Rd., Shreveport.
JV and Varsity Head Coach Josh Garrett has scheduled several pre-season games in preparation for the ACEL season which begins November 9. In addition, FORCE high school teams will compete in five tournaments this year, including the DasCHE Tipoff Tournament in Duncanville, TX in November and the NCHC Regional and National tournaments in February and March.
FORCE middle school boys will compete in the DasCHE Tipoff Tournament, as well as in the NCHC Regional tournament in Dallas in February. Local league play will begin in January and end in early March with the league tournament.
